New category. Two audiences. One brand.

How Sonovein built a brand as precise as its robotics, and made a new category feel inevitable.

Robotic HIFU for vein care

A complete brand rebuild for a device with no category to be measured against: positioning, identity, website, illustration system, and film.

The Challenge

Selling a first to a market with nothing to compare it to.

Sonovein is a robotic HIFU platform from Theraclion. It treats varicose veins with no incisions, no needles, no anesthesia. The technology was ready for global growth and US market entry. The brand was not.

Two audiences had to be convinced at once. Vascular specialists needed clinical proof and scientific precision. Patients needed a plain account of what incision-free treatment actually means for them. Most medtech brands pick one of those audiences and lose the other.

The brochure highlights real patient stories, claims to redefine vein treatment, and promotes a non-invasive solution for varicose veins without scars, surgery, or leaks. It includes QR codes and photos of a patient receiving treatment on a medical bed.A design board featuring the Sonovein brand logo and color palette with blue, beige, and white light tones, the logo's circular icon, font choices Nunito Sans Semibold for headers and Inter Light for body text, an image of a high-tech medical device, and a laptop screen displaying the Sonovein website homepage with the headline 'The Only Non-Invasive Varicose Vein Treatment' and navigation options.
THE APPROACH

Precision, made visible

1. Claim the category

‍We repositioned Sonovein around three things a first mover can own: category leadership, patient outcomes, and scientific credibility. The identity follows the same logic. A restrained palette, clinical typography, and a mark that reads as precise rather than promotional.

THE APPROACH

Needs a title

2. Make the technology legible

‍We built a technical illustration and animation system that breaks the device and the treatment into ownable visual moments. Then we shot photography and film that place the technology in real clinical settings, with real people. The science stays intact. The audience stops needing a translator.

THE APPROACH

3. Build one platform for two audiences

‍The website splits the message without splitting the brand. Clinicians get the mechanism, the data, and the procedural detail. Patients get a clear account of what treatment involves and what recovery looks like. Both routes run on the same identity, the same illustration system, and the same voice.

Beyond the Launch

A system, not a set of files.

Sonovein had the technology to redefine vein care. It now has the strategy, identity, website, and content system to make that future feel inevitable. The story carries into every new market without being rebuilt each time.
